Hi Moggy,

Yeah i get what you mean now, i'll add it to the toodo list :D upcomming in the next Beta is a copy option, so say for example you have a nice drum rythmn going on you can copy it from one pattern to another pattern instead of entering the same thing over and over, and also can load and run straight from a reset, no need to mess around with setting ramtop or M=H.

Great stuff Andy , the copy function cuts out hours of work and would be a fantastic addition.
As it stands this tracker is still a little gem. :D

Busy creating samples at the moment, can't wait for the copy function.

Not so much a bug as an oddity.

When editing samples make sure the A channel isn't switched off whilst in the editor or the sample won't sound when "0" is pressed, switching off B and C doesn't effect it in the same way .

Regards.
Moggy

EDIT
If at all You choose WIPE SONG from the second menu make sure the song that is loaded hasn't played otherwise when You go back to the second menu for any reason the zeddie crashes and the tracker won't reload until ramtop is set back to 28282
If the original song isn't played then You can wipe and reload another song with no problems

Suppose i can force channel A on during Sample edit, would it also be best to force 'B' and 'C' off ?

erm... if that second menu bug is the one i am thinking i've fixed it in my current code, no flashing item... ???

Yes it's a program, like other 'digital music tracker' this is only the beta, it's meant to work in a similar fashion to the original Soundtracker for ZXSpectrum by BZYK. When the bugs are ironed out, i will put together a nice set of instructions :-)

Anybody wanting to make there own music with Zon-x compatible sound card should have a go.

You mean play guitar or drumkit or pop music recorded as audio file ? Or better Midi ?
Maybe I can use my ZX81 as Karaoke machine.

Another beta for you lot to try out, tweaked a few things, and added a copy notes, which enables you to copy a section from any 1 channel of any pattern to another channel in the same or different pattern, the only previso at this point is that the destination can not overlap the source, when i have a little more time, i'll rewrite the code so it can detect and copy forwards or backwards depending on the overlap. Also you slect a source (from) start and end point, if the destination (to) channel reaches the end of that pattern before the source is exhausted it will stop.

This Verion does NOT require you to lower ramtop or set 'M=H' (it's done in the software now).

I'll make a start on some instructions when i get chance.

Hell fire :!:
It's nearly 2 am and 6 hrs playing with this, I'm now brain dead.

@Andy the copy function works a treat, :D
I now have an apology to make

A few posts ago I said there was a bug when switching back and forth between envelope and normal tones, You said what happens if You put an F in the second column rather than a 0.
I said that can't be right it should just switch back, well I was wrong
I did some reading and it seems that to come out of envelope control F has to be in the second column whereas a 0 just tells the chip to carry on with the current envelope sound.

In other words Your tracker was doing what it should be doing and sludge brain here didn't bother to read the manual.

Sorry about that Mate, anyhow my little musical effort should be ready for You all to laugh at tomorrow ( sorry today)

Regards.
