Does anyone plan to release an Android ZX81 emulator ?
Does anyone plan to release an Android ZX81 emulator ?
As the title says I search for an ZX80/ZX81 emulator for Android 15 and newer.
There was an emulator as apk that ran on old android versions but refuses to start on actual versions afaik.
There are emulators for IOS, Linux, macos and windows, some of them even are open source.
I would be willing to help porting to android but only if I get some support from experts.i will need pointers to starting such a project for Android.
Anybody with hints is welcome to contact me.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Android 15? My 2022 phone is running Android 11
* JSZeddy appears to work -- it loads my p files and runs them -- but it doesn't have a soft keyboard interface
* I used to use Zed Ex with Android, but it's no longer available. It was pretty good

Yes, Android 15. My phone is my only electronics device that's non vintage
I know jszeddy and it works when I'm online.
Is there a way to run it offline?

Jszeddy works when my device is offline. At least the Reset and Choose File buttons work, game starts and plays

Thanks for trying.
Unfortunately its not compatible with Android 15
Would anybody state if its running on his device to see until which Android Version it will run?

How should I download jszeddy to a local directory on my Android device?
And once it's on my phone, how can I create an icon to start it?
Any hints are welcome

Chrome has the "download" button (arrow down button) which saves a web page for offline use. That being said, jszeddy doesn't work from the Downloads page. However jszeddy still works from my previously loaded tab when offline, even after a couple of days of being loaded
Perhaps you could reach out to olofsen to see if has ideas?

That's what I also tried and also tried to download the web page via Wayback.
Sadly no fun
