Early Christmas Present - The Spectrum

Post by rmbrowngr »

Early Christmas present (to myself :D)
IMG_5214.jpg
I was thinking of building a Spectrum using a Pi Zero running zxbaremulator inside a Spectrum 48k or + case, but then this came along. \:D/

Never owned a Spectrum.

Now to find a spare USB PSU.
ZX81 (purchased November 1982), my first computer.
ZXpand+, ZX8-CCB.

No need for a power supply - I'm just using the supplied USB > USBc into USB plug like you'd get with an iPhone etc

Have ordered the retro games controller but anyone had any luck connecting an 8bitdo M30 via USB adaptor?

Really cool

I have order my The Spectrum from amazon.de in Germany and it cost 100 Euro

I will get it between 7-20/1-2025

No one in Sweden sell it

It will be really fun to play old Spectrumgames on it, I am looking most forward to play Chuckie Egg

I will use my black GamePad that I bought to my The A500 Mini

Hi

Do you have any tips of cool games to add to it?

I like platform, beat em up, filmgames and shooters :geek:

I like UK company Ocean with their filmgames like Rambo and RoboCop

I will ofcourse play Manic Miner :ugeek:

C64 classics Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Islands

I will also play one of my favorite C64 game on Spectrum that is Green Beret

Can we play two player games on The Spectrum with two connected joysticks or gamepads
