My WESPI doesn't kick in when I connect something to the tape sockets, no further mods required. I can load fine from my TZXDuino.Lardo Boffin wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 12:19 am And if you want to load from a tape still then I go for this arrangement:

That is awesome! I have fitted at least 10 of these now and not one could I get to work with my TZXDuino without all the hassle of adding a switch.patters wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 9:31 pmMy WESPI doesn't kick in when I connect something to the tape sockets, no further mods required. This ZX81 is running on a vLA81 and SRAM wired for 32KB.

Huge thanks to Holmatic for the work on this. IT'S ALI'VE! And I've managed to connect to it with the aged macbook and upload programs
Needs a bit of tidying now I know it works. Mwah hah hah

Re: ZX-WESPI - add a cheap wifi-enabled fileserver to your Zeddy!
Hi guys, I'm laying out a small PCB board for the ZX-WESPI.
Would someone be able have a quick look over it for any mistakes before I send it off for fabrication.
I will make the gerber files available once I've tested.
Thanks!
Philip

I didn't look at the connections itself but on your design.
At first, all capacitors should at least be safe up to 25V instead of 16V because that is dat to close to voltages found in Sinclair PSUs without load.
I'd at least add a 100nF to the 47uF for fast spikes.
Also add a 100nF and a 22uF on the 9V side as that is "good practices"
Kind regards
Paul

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Hi Paul, How's this?

That looks good.

I’m so glad that a solution was found for that!
