In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.
Re: ZEDDYNET
Thanks! All looks like it is working. I did turn on DHCP and it found my IP address 192.168.1.216.
I loaded IRC and followed the instructions to join and it showed myself Tim as well as Paul was there and was chatting with him. Ok now I just need to figure out what to do next with this. At least I know it's working.im going back in...
Thanks again

Welcome to Zeddy online world.

Re: ZEDDYNET
HI Tim
if you connect also a ZON-X81 box (or Mr. X or AY-board to zxpand) to your ZX81, you will hear a "DONG" whenever an irc-message arrives (to wake you up
)
How much memory do you have installed in your ZX81?

He said earlier that he's using a ZXpand, so 32k bytes.

Same as I intend to use by the sounds of it (when my Wiznet module arrives).tdg8934 wrote: am also using a ZXPAND with it.

Re: ZEDDYNET
I do have an AY board that plugs into my ZXPand. I will try this out tonight after work. What a neat idea!

Re: ZEDDYNET
I just wanted to mention that yesterday new zeddynet PCB arrived.
So if you are interested in a PCB, kit or built then they are available again.
Merry Christmas by the way

And a very Merry Christmas to you too, Paul
I'm interested in purchasing a kit. please.
Thanks!

Re: ZEDDYNET
Having fun today testing out the Zeddynet card with IRC and IRC ANSI 32 with my ZXPand card. Siggi was great help on the IRC channel which I was chatting with. I also installed and used Mirc in Windows to go into the ZX team channel and communicate with Zeddynet and Sigi. Have to remember to do a CONFIG "M=L" then LOAD, RUN and configure IPCONFIG.p (DNS set to Yes) and then LOAD IRC. More experimenting this weekend.

Increase in postal fees
The german Post will increase their fees from begin of january. So I am afraid I will need to increase the prices by 50p as well.
I have recalculated the options:
A) PCB only plus programmed GAL: 10£ including postage
B) Kit 19£ including postage
the Kit contains all neccessary parts including what is needed for Pokemon 81xtender. It excludes the WIZ812MJ module.
C) Soldered and tested 25,50£ including postage. It excludes the WIZ812MJ module.
In any way you will need a WIZ812MJ module as well.
Just as an example it's available at TME,Mouser etc.
