I'm creating a new ZX Spectrum 'Zine!

Post by VinnyMainolfi »

Yes, Folks! This is, indeed, real. My name is Vinny and I have been producing FREEZE64 for almost 9 years with 76 issues under my belt and more to come. I have always said (since around 2018), that if I was ever made redundant from my day-job, I would try and produce FREEZE-ZX and FREEZE-BEEB. Last November I was made redundant and decided to make FREEZE my full-time job (though I am going to be making less than minimum wage, but I'll be happier).

Anyway -- your support is greatly appreciated. FREEZE-ZX will truly be a ZX Spectrum fan 'zine and will focus on gaming, game development, and cheats. I always make a point of talking directly with game developers themselves, and over the past few years I have amassed a large following of veteran game developers from the past, who not only do I consider as friends, but also support me by subscribing to my zine.

Here's hoping that FREEZE-ZX is as successful as its sister 'zine. I will certainly be putting all my love, heart and passion into it.

Full details of FREEZE-ZX issue 1 and the PRE-ORDER form can be found here:

It's only a 'if I get the time' idea, but something I've always wanted to do :-)
