WHAT WAS THE FIRST REACTION
WHEN YOU TOLD YOU WERE RUNNING
3D MONSTERMAZE ON ZX81EMUL?

THEY DID NOT BELIEVE IT WAS ON A ZX SPECTRUM

My ZX Spectrum had a DK-tronics keyboard and there is also such a keyboard for the ZX81.
Even when I told to look at the keys or see the attached microdrive I had to activate the menu (1+0) to show it was
on a ZX Spectrum.

Then everyone was called to take a look and I had to make copies of the program for everyone.

AFTER ZX81EMUL, WHICH EMULATOR
DID YOU CODE ON THE ZX SPECTRUM?

PHILIPS VIDEOPAC EMULATOR

In 2000 I coded a Philips Videopac emulator on the ZX Spectrum.
The emulator needs an update like the 81 emulator got but the project is ongoing and not yet finished.

The link to the emulator

A gameboy emulator was planned and started for the SAM Coupe but was never finished.

A P2000 emulator was never planned but I phad the idea to code a ZX81 emulator on the P2000.

WHY DID YOU CODE KLAVERJAS
IN 2005?

YOU PLAYED IT ON A PC AND THOUGHT I CAN CODE BETTER

I had a PC version of this dutch game but it played awfull. So I thougt I could make a better version.
The game KLAVERJASSEN for the ZX Spectrum was also MIA so I thought I would make a new game.

After finishing the game I entered the game for an online competion which it won.

HOW IS THE ORIGINAL BOARDGAME
OF WORLDBAR CALLED?

CAFE INTERNATIONAL

I bought the boardgame around 1989 and a collegua liked the game years later but it was sold out. So I started coding
a BASIC version of the boardgame with 2 players.

Years later I coded the computer AI version and later the arcade version of the game.

WHY WAS PORTING SHOGUN TO THE ZX81 IN 2010 A PROBLEM?

THE USE OF IX ON THE ZX SPECTRUM

In the ZX Spectrum version IX was used to trace all directions. Since IX is used for the display I had to rewrite
that part too.

The screen, keyboard and colour were known issues but the use of IX was unexpected.
