Yeah, there might be some irritating problems.
To make some breaks in rhythm, one has to make various tricks to cheat the listenner's ear. ;)
For instance how to try to make kind of weird "progressive" music.
http://yerzmyey.i-demo.pl/yerz.mp3 (only a test, not finished yet).
It's played on two AYs (two synchronized Spectrums or one Spectrum with TurboSound interface) but the idea is the same on one AY (or YM). It's hard to do on SoundTracker but - can work.
But still - the logic of composing - is to build music from kind of "bricks". ;)

> Your demo is superb, tonight I am going to study it and see if I can work out how You created it.
-----------------
Instead of making 3 independent channels ON Spectrum/ZX81 and LATER record them simultanously,
I made it this way:
the first track was ready - I recorded it.
the second one (with the same lenght) - again: recorded.
and so on.
Then I added on every single track special-effects of recording studio.
Finally I mixed them together.
Your way is great for concerts or playing music more "live". My way is easier for 'stationary' music-making and
calm&easy recording at studio.
Also, for one such "track" I can use all 3 channels of AY/YM. It's interesting later, when I put filters and phasers (more "rich" sound).

> Charlie, Andy and Yourself have given Me much to think about.
Thanks again My Friend. :D
-------------
No problem at all, I sympathize with idea of professional music-making using Spectrum or ZX81. :)
It is cool. ;)

Funny, i've looked at the datasheet for both the YM 2149 and the AY-3-8910 and see no mention of pull downs, the AY-3-8910 does say that the max current at the analog outputs is just 2Ma :?

@charlie, maybe you could add jumpers for pull-downs / no pulldowns

Andy, Moggy: thanx. :)

Andy: only one more made on Spectrum. Which is funny - this was _only_ beeper. :)

By the way, here should still be original tracks without any post-processing (original song's "raw" elements). :)
