Searching for PCF1306P

Post by dizzy33 »

Hello,

for my issue 6A ZX Spectrum, I am searching for a PCF1306P chip. The only place where I could find one is here :
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PCF1306p-AMS ... SwB09YD8hS
The problem is I am located in France, so I use Ebay.fr, and when I try to log in Ebay.co.uk my user/password is refused (????).
Of course, Ebay.fr does not find any PCF1306P items.

I would be very interested in buying one, but I guess I would need the seller to contact me (I can't even contact him because I cannot login).

Does anyone know a way for me to contact this seller, or another one selling the same product ?

Thanks !

Finally I could find a way to find this product : using Google, I typed "Ebay.fr" followed by the seller name.
Thanks anyway !

For future reference, if you extract the eBay listing number from either the web page, or the URL, you can paste it in the search box for the eBay site used in/for your own country.

Hi!
Did you find it?
Just in case not, I have some PCF1306P equivalent in SMD format but with capacitors in DIP format.
Let's do it

Hi,
Few members have contacted to me about the PFC replacement that I have.
It was developed based on the work of J.L. we did it on SMD format.

I have few board left (9) from the last stock that we produced (about 60+).
The few 9 left, I published to sell by ebay site. Here is the link: PCF1306P replacement

The next production will be all in SMT format but one capacitor that is optional and depends on the board. This one will be DIP format.
More information in the link.

hope it could be useful for somebody

For the record, the PCF1306P is the upper RAM multiplexor. It is also known under the ZX8401 name and the Amstrad part number 40058. It was introduced in the issue 5 board 48K Spectrum, and also used on the 6A board Spectrum, the 128K Toastrack, and the +2 (grey).

That's correct,
Also thanks for this post, that is very similar PCB.
There are some implementation that doesn't use capacitors but resistances (resistors).

Here you could get more information on the project that we based our, both are pretty similar even the same. Alternative project

Just to show how it looks..
This is a CZ Spectrum (argentinian clone) the board is a slightly modified ISSUE 6A, low ram is +5v only.. many of them had the PCF1306P but many others had this ZX8401 board. Perhaps because of lacking of stock... the first argentinian Spectrum CZ2000 was made under License with original issue 6A boards . This later model was not..

Wauuuu such a treasure!!! really nice. I guess both versions use the PCF system to address the memory.
But not idea if they are equal... unless you could replace the ZX8401 by the PCF1306P.

Really nice board, really, in fact I want to proceed to do my scheme to built my modified Issue6A board with some little changes...
What is inside the RF module?
thanks

the ZX8401 board is on a socket.. you can use the PCF1306P.. I have one with the IC actually..
RF modulator has two outputs, one RF PAL-B and the other is a composite output marked as monitor so you don't have to modify it :D
Board uses a lm555 to build 12v to the LM1891 and low ram is 4116 pin compatible but using +5v only..
