I'd definitely be interested, don't mind prepaying or even buying a kit to solder myself

There is a big difference between building an ULA at 5€ and selling an ULA at 5€
If I build myself something I only count in the parts I need to buy, not those in my toolbox ;)
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

The title is maybe makes confusion. This was initially planned to realize a home-brew ULA project with just the chip and a cut piece of a prototype board and wiring. I think it is not possible to realize this ULA project (pin compatible plug replacement just to be used) for this low price. As in my experience I would say it could be in the range of 10-20 EUR and this would be okay for me. 8-)

Exactly. With the work and personal outlay and time and effort, 5E was veeeeery optimistic. And like Pokemon said - Paul's work is not related to the original title of the thread.

10 to 20 euros is good for me as well! Based on what I have seen elsewhere it's always best to at least double the initial estimate.

And the title is a question!
ZX80
ZX81 iss 1 (bugged ROM, kludge fix, normal, rebuilt)
TS 1000 iss 3, ZXPand AY and +, ZX8-CCB, ZX-KDLX & ChromaSCART
Tatung 81 + Wespi
TS 1500 & 2000
Spectrum 16k (iss 1 s/n 862)
Spectrum 48ks plus a DIVMMC future and SPECTRA

Sorry for interfering in this homebrew thread.
I don't want to mislead.
When I will offer the ULA for selling I will announce this in a new thread and sell via SMR.
There is no preorder list.
But it is good to see people interested in buying one.
Kind regards Paul

I actually started this thread for my ULA project. I've not come so far yet, but it's not in the grave. :)
