I think it is one of those things you need to see properly not via an emulator. The image quality on the little black and white screen is simply amazing and I think just has to be seen. I don’t know what resolution and level of anti-aliasing would be required to recreate it properly on a modern LCD TV.

I could live without the buzzing noise but have a kit coming from the US of A to sort that out.

Do you have the coloured screen overlays?

I only have Minestorm at the mo (its built in) and have the overlay. It looks better without on that one I think.

I can see there are a few multi-carts out there. May have to be a purchase at some point.

After a bit of a dry patch...

A working issue 3 with PSU, manual, Maplin edge extender, Timex RAM pack and cables.

I’m not sure the RAM pack is working though...

Not only are there no ZX8-CCBs but now there are no RWAP keyboards for a few weeks! Ah the trials of the refurbisher.

And another one!

A nice early issue one (but not bugged ROM I think):

Only problem is the lack of composite mod boards. I have one vLA81 left (bought before they went up to £30 each) and I have one of these lying around - https://www.thefuturewas8bit.com/shop/a ... o-mod.html, worked well in an Atari 2600 and should be ok for a zeddy apparently.

So thats these two sorted (once I get new keyboards) but not the one due to arrive early next week...

Looks like an original ZX80 power supply too Lardo, you might want to consider selling that separately or keeping for your own collection.

Would it be worth your while making up a few of Marks vero board composite units till Karl is back in business?
Does the Atari unit provide back porch?

It is indeed a ZX80 PSU. I have sold about 5 of these separately so far! Being the later black ones they only tend to go for £20 to £25.

The Atari unit doesn’t do the back porch so I’m currently thinking vLA81 in the issue one (looks to be socketed but not opened the case yet) and the Atari board in the issue three which should have a later ULA.

I am in the process of making up a trial Mark comp board but got sent the wrong resistors so need to order some more.

I wish you all the best Lardo because if anybody is keeping the physical zeddy spirit intact it's you. :D

Zeddy 3 of 4 arrived today. An issue 3 in reasonable condition. In a jiffy bag with one layer of bubble wrap around it.

Amazingly the RAM pack works!
