The zeddy with doohickey arrived today. The zeddy is DOA but the RAM pack seems ok. The zeddy is trying to display a screen so I’m guessing (hoping) nothing too serious.


Will open it up at some point when I work out how to unstick it all!

A couple of strong spudgers did the trick. 40 year old blutack is surprisingly strong!

Sadly just a normal, slightly poorly issue one. Looks like they ran out of radial caps!


Even the stand lacks anything too interesting going on. I was hoping for something like a scrubber dubber or similar inside.

It is a neat bit of kit though.


The presumably Forth keyboard sticker came off intact and the zeddy underneath is in very nice condition.

Last one for a while…

A working issue 3 unusually with a couple of socketed chips.

A very nice condition issue one with Z80 bugged ROM kludge fix in place.

Works apart from some of the keys.


A seriously green PCB!

Not as early as I hoped given the kludge fix - the ULA is 8146.

Unusually for these (well, the four or five I have seen now) this one has solid rubber feet rather than the softer sponge type.

A nice issue three which boots to the K and some keys work. Think this one will end up with a KDLX keyboard.

Unusual to see an issue three socketed. Wonder if it had been repaired at some point?

An issue one with a cool yellow board. Seems to be working apart from the keyboard.

With a couple of books - don’t have the ZX81 User’s Handbook so thats a nice addition.
