Very nice condition ZX81 up for adoption

Hi all

I have a very nice condition ZX81 up for adoption. I fairly regularly buy zeddies on popular auction sites to refurb and sell on to help pay for stuff I want to keep. Sometimes I come across interesting ones and put them on here first.

This is an issue one but is in very nice condition indeed. Looking inside the back the Z80 and ULA are socketed but not the RAM so presumably factory built.
The keys work and it produces a just about usable UHF picture. Its obviously a perfect picture using a Chroma 81. It also works fine with my ‘ZXpand.

All I have done is given it a bit of a wipe over.

I paid £25 for it and am happy to pass it on at £25 plus p&p (£4 in the UK) if anyone is looking for a very nice ZX81 (unit only).

PM me if interested or you want more detailed photos. :D

Hello! I'm new here and am not able to send PM. I would like very much to buy this ZX81. Could you send this to Hungary? :D

I’m sure a moderator will be along to enable your PM but in the meantime I will look at postage costs from the UK to Hungary. :)

I have got some rough guide prices based on a 1KG package but they are quite high!

DPD £24
Parcel force £20
Hermes £15
B2c Europe £12

I normally use DPD but they are very expensive. B2C are showing as the cheapest but I have never heard of them before so have no idea how good they are.

Hermes are notoriously bad in this country.

It seems that I also have problems to sending private messages.¿?

If there's no success on the sale I'm also interested in the ZX81, mine seems that has a ULA, CPU or ROM problem and it's hard to repair for me... :(

Hi

Are you still interested? If not I will let it go to Papalapa.

If I have not heard by the end of Friday 24th I will assume you are not interested.

Thanks.

Hi,

Do you have a 16K expansion? Is the PSU included, you did not mention it?
Yes, I am still interested.

Thanks

Hi
It is for the computer only - no PSU or RAM pack etc. I am afraid.

I can add in a cassette lead and RF / aerial lead. They didn’t come with the computer but I have some spares. So it would be ZX81, cassette lead and RF lead.
