Having done ‘one or two’ zeddy refurbs of late I find myself with a surplus of heat sinks.
Are they of use to anyone? If not then they will end up getting recycled.
Oh and a couple of Spectrum heat sinks as well.
If anyone wants them then its just p&p from the UK.

Re: ZX81 heat sinks
Yeah, but what would they be used for?
Restoring Sinclair machines back to ‘original’ condition for pure collectors?
I have my own pile of aluminium heatsinks...
Maybe you should sell them on Sell My Retro...
Or they can be used where the power required for a circuit is low, and therefore does not justify a DC/DC switching regulator, such as some add-on circuits for the ZX80 / ZX81 / TS100 / ZX Spectrum etc...

There are four lights!
Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb
Looking forward to summer later in the year.

Re: ZX81 heat sinks
A good question indeed. I did notice someone on the Jupiter Ace rebuild thread using a Speccy heatsink so maybe for projects like that or other homebrew?
To be honest I don’t want to just recycle them - it seems such a waste.

E-Mail sent they are going to find a second life in Jupiter's after modification to reduce danger of short circuit.Lardo Boffin wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 9:01 am A good question indeed. Kind regards Paul
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.
