A small amount of free stuff

Post by Lardo Boffin »

Hi all

Thanks to eBay loft finds etc. I have some unwanted ZX81 / possibly Spectrum stuff.

To be honest I'm not 100% sure what it all is! I certainly cannot test it so rather than try and dump it on eBay it is free to a good home (well, cost of p&p aside).

We have what looks like a printer interface by Tasman, a printer cable and a couple of monitor cables. I also have a copy of the ZX81 BASIC manual in German!

Ideally I would like one person to have it all to avoid multiple trips to the post office and all the associated packing! I would of course understand if no one wants the German manual...

Monitor cables (so you can what sockets they fit):-

Cables and interface:-

Inside the interface:-

BASIC manual:-

I would imagine it will all go small parcel for £2.80 to the UK, more for Europe.

If anyone is interested let me know.

I think Rich (RWAP) might be interested in the printer interface :)

I'm interested in the monitor cables (one looks like it fits an Atari ST/STFM/STE) and those DIN plugs are hard to get, and hard to wire up.
I'm also interested in the Tasman printer interface. I've got three (yes three) dot matrix printers, but I have no idea what happened to the interface I used back in the day to print from my Spectrum. I know I did use it with my Star LC10. Even if 99% of the time it lived connected to my STFM. Anyway, I want to get my a Speccy to print to more than my Alphacom 32.

The monitor cables look as though they are ones for a QL - Microvitec CUB (DIN to DIN) and a monochrome cable

Yes, I would be interested in the printer interface please - something else to try the RetroPinter with :)

How about the monitor cables to 1024MAK and the interface (and printer cable) to RWAP? Seems fairest given interest by both.

I'll PM you with my address...

Can you take some high quality photos of both sides of the Tasman printer interface PCB please ;)

Also some of the case (front/back/side/top as needed) please :-)

Then they can be added on WoS here (or more correctly, on the new WoS site that is being worked on).

Cheers :D

Is it worth sending it all to Mark so he can examine the Tasman interface with a view to getting a schematic and maybe allowing for clones to be made in the future? He can then send the interface to me once he has finished with it?

I'm happy to do that. I just wanted to be fair to both interested parties.

That just leaves the German ZX81 manual unclaimed...

Yep, that sounds like a sound plan (sorry, blame The A-Team memory running around my head  ).
