I'm with mrtimb, eagerly awaiting the ZX-Blast. If I'm right the ZX-Blast will let you hack the ROM and create a custom ROMs for various things like creating an interface to a Raspberry PI. For now I have both a Propeller based and Arduino Due based projects that can read SD cards and create the serial pulses just like the cassette tapes to run any program in "P" format.

sirmorris wrote:These are not really designed for production. hey are fiddly and rely on custom cut parts. I looked into having them built but the mix of surface mount and through-hole parts means that assembly would have to be manual, and the price of a ZXpand would nearly double

Anyway, there will be more announced in the first post of this topic 12H before showing up on SMR - so set a watch for this topic.

My congratulations :).

Is there a chance to buy ZXpand with module AY?
Hunt for sellmyretro is stressful;). Can not you make a list of potential buyers ZXpand?

There is a sort of list - basically I know who has added a keyword watch for ZXPand on sellmyretro.com

Maintaining a list of potential buyers and then trying to sell to them in order of interest just does not work in my experience, unless you know that you will be able to meet the requirements of the full list at the same time...

For example, 26 users (A to Z) express an interest in an item in 2015.
In 2016 I have 10 items for sale, so I contact A to J.

B says "Can I get 2 please"
C and D do not respond
The email address for E is no longer valid.

So I then sell B an extra one (although he has jumped the queue).
I have 2 others left, so now contact K and L and offer it to them.

C comes back and says - "sorry I missed your email, I would love one, I've been waiting over a year".....

Then what...?

I could put a limit on people to order one (say 48 hours), but then if people are on holiday or away with work, or in another time zone / lack access to the internet for those days, then they lose out and feel disgruntled.

At least at the moment, I have sent an email to all those who have a keyword watch on sellmyretro warning of the forthcoming listing, then everyone has the same chance of getting the few which are available....

OK. Now I understand. You're right.
What is the possibility of buying the module AY with ZXpand?

I think SirMorris is concentrating on getting the ZXPands built at the moment - but has parts for the ZXpand-AY :)
