Afraid not, the cold that is used is quite expensive, I was at the time able to get hold of a few for very reasonable price.

ZX81 Enhanced ULA replacement module.

what's that Smell.... smells like fresh flux and solder fumes...
Re: ZX81 Enhanced ULA replacement module.
Yes - the CPLD used is EOL, I think. But using other CPLDs from Altera would be possible with the same number of macrocells (128).

It is 1.8V power voltage but this was only a quick search to see price for these devices. I think 3.3V power with 5V tolerance chips may be available, not 100% sure. This device would be around 4 EUR/GBP in a QFP64 - are 54 IOs enough ?
I find your ULA quite brilliant, ULA's are rare by now (if somebody doesn't find a new old stock somewhere in a garage) and maybe there could be integrated more features like UDG or something similar. I am just thinking around. But it is a great pity to leave this in a drawer.

Yes it may be possible, lattice seem to still do a few 5v parts so maybe that could be an option if someone wants to pick up the gauntlet

It would be great to have these available again, I'm missing a couple of ULAs so I'd certainly be in for a few.

Shhhh - keep it under your hat..... but I've heard from a very reliable source that a certain mad scientist that frequents these boards is actually working on a new alternative ULA....
