Just because it's possible.
Really ?
I didn't see any pictures yet. ;)
Photos would have been useless.
It's a standard issue one without the ram chips.
Andy's ULA fittet z80 and a auto save ram preprogrammed with zx81 rom.
Andy's ULA is reprogrammed to use ram and rom in one chip with the lower 16 k write protects.
That's all.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

While I would like to own an Original ZX80 one day, I would buy a replica case for my ZX80core.
I bought an early design 3D printed case for my Raspberry Pi and that cost more than the Pi itself!

So I guess I would pay upto €100 for a good quality ZX80 replica case.

Is there enough interest now for someone to produce some?

Fifteen month ago a zx80 test print was 120€ at shapeways.
I now have print data (stl) that shapeways doesn't allow anymore.
In winter I will try to edit the data and get a print.
Then we know the cost.
Up to then I need all my spare time for QL projects.
Sorry
Kind regards
Paul

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered Markus' ZX80 case from Shapeways.
I am very pleased with the result although the slightly grainy surface might make Decals/stickers a little tricky.
I am going for good old lase printed sticky labels for the bottom and a rub down laser/inkjet sheet for the top.
I will post pictures of the results, in the meantime, here is the case itself....

Printed via a link at shapeways or did you sent data?
No problems anymore?
Was the price still approximately 120€?
kind regards Paul

Search for ZX80 on shapeways and Markus' designs are there.
And yes, they were not cheap but they are very good.

Just ordered a ZX80 case from Shapeways, does anyone have the case logos/decals available to print?

(Sorry to resurrect an old thread)

Here we go, along with the font required to replicate the stickers exactly.
