Firstly ... I'm still waiting for the Schottky diodes to arrive but... here's the question...

When I used the silicone diodes I was showing a signal well below the 1v demonstrated in the diagrams - https://www.sinclairzxworld.com/viewtop ... 497#p54497 - so why wasn't this good enough to work?

The shottky diodes arrived, and it works. I documented it here... if anyone notices anything I've got wrong, please shout.
