microace clone anyone ??

Post by jojo »

so a lot of questions regarding the microace , hopefully someone can answer them ;

- startup screen , i am looking for a photo of that.
- keyboard , is there already a file available ?
- case , any 3d data available ?
- a scan of the manual .

as it is in fact a zx80 clone , so rebuilding it will be simple , but ..............it is all about the details

any help ??

You could try looking at this repository of the American published Sync magazine as it is probably the only source of anything Microace seeing as they are both US products. The Microace had a very short life so would not think too much is out there given the paucity of ZX80 articles/programs. Sync magazine seemed to to take the ZX80 a bit more seriously than over here and featured some interesting type-ins.

Similar m/board slightly different layout.

You might want to contact the owner of this site, the link to which includes a preserved post as well as some informative pictures including a screen shot which seems identical to the ZX80 and given that they have the same ROM code I would expect the start up screen to be identical too the MIcroace is featured halfway down the thread..

thanks all for the replies ,

indeed USA only , but i am hoping someone on this side of the big pond has one .

or , knows someone who might have made a 3d case .

the keyboard foil is available so , with a little work our zx80 clones change over to microace ,
i would like to have the case of course .......as that has a specific shape.

( msh in tlienhard forum has one ).
