Fitting a Wespi with an Andy Rea ULA

Post by Lardo Boffin »

Has anyone fitted a Wespi to a zeddy with one these ULAs?

I wonder if it will work as I seem to remember that the ULA has a built in amplifier?

I know tape loading on these meant that the volume was approx 2/10 rather than the usual 7/10.

I have this ULA, and a Wespi connected. It's working fine.

Hi Martin, with a jumper or with a resistor fitted at the TV type pins (missing on Lardo's picture)
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Thanks Martin, I need to reread the instructions. Thought one of the two had to be mounted.
Anyway, valuable information for future wespi users that this ULA works in that configuration.

I finally have a fast storage device in my rebuilt zeddy!

Now I just need to figure out loading from a physical tape with this connected and I will be sorted. :D
