Sorry if this is a stupid question but...where do I get the .BIN files for the ZX-WESPI project to write to my ESP please? Do I have to compile them or can they just be downloaded from somewhere please?

The first version, and you can find the files under releases in the right column.

The second version, which includes video output to mini LCD or VGA, and here you also find the files under releases.

My WESPI doesn't kick in when I connect something to the tape sockets, no further mods required. I can load fine from my TZXDuino.
That is awesome! I have fitted at least 10 of these now and not one could I get to work with my TZXDuino without all the hassle of adding a switch.

Can you add a photo / details of how you installed please? Thanks!
I'm the starter of this thread so my photos are already in here - the build in the first post, and the connections to the board can be seen in one of the later posts where I show how I mounted the ESP32 with velcro.

Thanks.

Doesn’t look any different to any of the ones I fitted.

Hey ho. Guess I will have to stick with the switches.

Nama - how are they looking?

Do you know how what resolution the vga output is at?

Hi everyone, thought I'd jump on the ZX-Wespi PCB bandwagon so designed a board for the non-vga MI version.

I have a Timex Sinclair 1000 and have decided to mount the Wespi externally. Mostly as the TS1000 has that aluminum spray RF shielding inside the case. Probably not a huge factor but why put some shielding between the radio and the hotspot 'eh?

So here's my design. I wanted to keep the footprint as small as possible, so designed it as a 'hat' to fit on the ESP32.

And put it in a case to keep things nice and tidy.

And give it some bling with the built-in blinkenlights :)

So it's still in development, refining the PCB design and the case design, but I think I'm almost there.

And yeah, I obviously decided to have some fun with the silkscreen layer, because, why not?

Questions, comments, feedback, always welcome :)
