If you go to the link Xavier provided it's mentioned there although these days we just load the assembler ROM into the relevant address in the ZXpand (12288) and use the spand as the assembler module with the added benefit of card load/save instead of tape.
This also works in emulation.
Also for reference the MT11-02 MemoText Word processor shares the same MT11-02 board as the word Processor just slightly different components and ROM code.
