Mr-X Soundcard
Re: Mr-X Soundcard
Someone on Facebook has offered to dig out their Zon-X unit if it would help!

did you get anywhere with the GAL for MrX? I can get a copy of the JED file if that helps?

Already posted some pictures of my own issue 2 device, via Bruno Florindo, here...

But for some reason the images appear to be missing.

Dug a dusty box out and got that lovely smell of old electronics when I opened it up - sure it's bad for your health
Anyway, the box is actually a Zon X (so Spectrum compatible) and not the Zon X-81 that I though I had, however the instruction manual is marked up as BI-PAK ZON X-81 so not sure whether what I have is useful or not.
Happy to scan some pages on How The PSG Works, Control by the ZX81, Internal Operation of the PSG or any of the Registers (D0 to D13) if that's useful.
Edit: Sorry, meant to say there's no schematics or anything like that in the manual, however the box has four screws so easy enough to open it up and take some pictures.

Re: Mr-X Soundcard
Oh, yes please. Both to the scans and the pictures. When taking the pictures, use macro mode if you have that when taking the close up snaps. Photos of both sides of the board would be very helpful Oh and some of the unit before you take it apart.

Sure, give me a couple of days.
Is it easier to post photos on here or create an album in the Facebook group?

Yes, it's easy to post pictures here. Just the attachment button below the edit box. Use JPEG format.
But if you have lots of high resolution photos, it may be better to post them on a photo or file sharing site.
The trouble with Facebook is you have to get the link and permissions 100% right or only you and no one else will be able to access them.

Re: Mr-X Soundcard
Here's a scan of the instructions booklet.
I've taken photos too, but will need to reduce the file size before uploading as they are all around the 5-7 MB size. Will hopefully get them on here tonight.
