Get an old router and us it in wireless client mode!

I think I have another solution. I remembered I have an older Netgear "Universal Wifi adapter" that I used a few years back to add wireless capability to the Ethernet port on DirecTV (that I don't use anymore).

This should work:

As a little teaser, Siggi (who adapted all Zeddynet programs from spectrum) made a english youtube video showing the ZEDDYNET in action.

Hi Tim
yes, that adapter could be used. We also used them during ZX-Team meetings in Mahlers, where (sometimes  ) a WLAN is available ....

Because I was asked I want to clarify what I meant by:
Paul wrote: including what is needed for Pokemon 81xtender.
What I meant by this is that all parts needed to build Pokemons Extender are included.

This is the complete Xtender. PCB, white connector and ZX-Bus Plug are included.
In the KIT you will have to shorten the plug and make a Key as well so it fits the ZX81:

This is what the Plug will be shipped like:

So in the Kit all components (except Wiz812) will be delivered, but you need to assemble it yourself.
The ready built comes ready to plug in.
I hope this helps

Short update:
The first PCBs and GALs were sent yesterday.
Parts needed for Kits also arrived, I am only waiting for the PCBs of the Xtender from Pokemon who sent them to me this afternoon.
After they arrived I can manufacture ready built Items and send out the KITs.
Kind regards
Paul

Today I am going to send out the paid KITs.
I wrote a little HowTo and printed it. On my printer the pictures aren't helpful so instead of including a printout I put the PDF here for your reference:

Good luck

A small hint to that: Pins 1-4 and 28-32 of the VG64 connector are not soldered to the extender board. So at one side 5 and at the other side 4 pins are beside the PCB.
