Re: ZXpand+ ROM

Post by Mork »

Hi - the Winbond-Eeprom on my ZXpand+ seems still to be working and so I was possible to compare the first 8kb with the overlay file of the EightyOne: they are similar but different.
See a copy attached of the 64k Winbond-Eeprom.
However, not knowing if the Winbond-data might be corrupted I burned the EightyOne overlay file on it but unluckily the ZXpand+ behaves not working the same way as before... :(

Ah, I can't upload the file, getting the error code "Invalid file extension" trying ". ROM", ". OVL" and ". zip".

Put the binary file into a zip archive, then attach that file. The file extension must be

Code: Select all

.zip
Mark
ZX81 Variations
ZX81 Chip Pin-outs
ZX81 Video Transistor Amp

Sorry Mark, I didn't only try the extension ". zip" but tried it with a real compressed file without success.

Here's a test file...

As you can see, it worked for me. So I'm at a lost to explain why it's not working for you.

It should work for ordinary members, it certainly worked for Moggy earlier in this topic.

But anyways, yes you can send the file directly to me.

It should be available under my profile (to the right of any of my posts if viewed on a "widescreen" display, the contact icon (then the middle of the three icons) or if you go to my profile page, it should be on there.
