You were right of course, now I bought the small TV-set (5,5" - http://photos04.allegro.pl/photos/orygi ... /373015539 ) and it works perfectly.

How about a picture of the "complete system" ???

My brother fixed the keyboard!!
He cut off the destroyed parts of ribbon and connected the rest again.
It WORKS! My first ZX81 16K is FULLY OPERATIONAL NOW!

I have exactly the same problem... and like say before just a cutter was needed to solve it.

Congratulations now you have a good working system...

Looking the pictures I saw that you do smoke near the computer equipment
well all safe becasue, you do not have a hard drive yet and of course the membrane is inmune to the dust and cigaretes smoke

Yeah and I never heard of computers getting cancer! So the zx81's gunna be ok..

Hehe, actually I put the cigarettes there to make some comparison for non-ZX81-guys; the get them an idea how small the set-up is.
I rather try not to smoke very near to old comps. (So my PC doesn't count ).

Hi all!

Today I got my second ZX-81. It's 1Kb of RAM (fully worx!! ).

I tested the MIC port in it too and - now I know that ZX-81 isn't "compatible" not only with new video-hardware but also with new audio-hardware.

In future I will perform further tests. Maybe with my deck-taperecorder.
