I bought TIMEX 1000 (+16Kb). What TV-set?

I bought today a Timex 1000.







What video system does it use? NTSC?
It doesn't have a chinch=>antenna video cable but chinch=>chinch.
Do I need an NTSC TV-set only?

It's NTSC. You shouldn't have a problem on a TV that can handle 60hz. If you wanted to make it 50hz you could solder a link..

Great machine btw - it looks almost new!

Ah, I see. So there will be nothing from it, at the moment, as my new Grundig has only 50hz.
Grrrrrr.
Not to mention my native TV-set for ZX-81 (the small one, "tourist", heh).

As for the machine itself, yes - for some time they became pretty popular on our equivalent of e-bay. Most of them are in good or even great shape/condition but their prices are more and more high.
If I would like to buy a Timex 1500 in a black case, I simply couldn't effort (cry, cry!!) although it is still present on the bidding.

Anyway for now I managed also to buy two ZX-81 (16K & 1K) and I must admit they're actually in perfect condition.
