When new, I had a Memotech assembler which was the lap of luxury compared to hand coding all that hex... Would kind of like one again for memory lane. Every see any around?
Cheers.

Re: Memotech Assembler?
Moggy and I use the Memotech Z80 Assembler without the hardware, and just loads the binary to it’s address in low memory on a ZXpand.
The great thing about this is, that now it’s in RAM, I’ve made a little patch, for it.
The patch makes it easier after you have loaded a source file, you don’t have to press newline for each line to import it.

Re: Memotech Assembler?
As Martin says we still use it and the patch he created is like gold to me as it really speeds things up.
Forget about ebay items as they are now going for silly money (up to a ton) and if you do not have a ZXpand already consider getting one when they become available as it is capable of storing and running other ROM code as well.
Just checked Martins link and it would seem to be a popular patch with nearly a hundred downloads!!
The ROM image for the assembler can be found here..

Re: Memotech Assembler?
Cool.. I'm doing the dev on a PC/Mac these days but the hardware was the bit I was interested in. I'd like a Zxpand, but they don't seem to be available much. I'll check out the soft version though, thanks!
