Mine has the two boards (it says Issue 2) where the chips are folded between like a sandwich with a ribbon cable between the two boards.

That appears to the the version I have. Good thing I was paranoid because I did put the sockets in backwards. I will just put a dot on the pin one with a bright yellow paint pen to make sure it's obvious for anybody in the future who decides they want to mess with the thing again.
