Excellent job! I enjoyed reading it and look forward to read the next one.

Sadly I have no articles to offer for now, but here are some things that I would love to see one day:

-Advertisement of someone who's willing to build hardware projects that appear on your magazine (for a price, of course)
-Hardware projects (Spectrum-compatible AY-interface, etc etc.)
-Stories/Memories from ZX81 users around the globe

I wanted to release a "Christmas" issue but nobody sent any texts so maybe next issue will be next year.

I sent a few ZX81 things to a good friend of mine in Spain and he will share his findings with me. But it might take some time.

Keep in mind some of our ZX81 veterans might be on vacation, busy with family, etc. :)

I have a few ideas for the magazine, but someone would have to be willing to contact a few people (I can't set aside time for these tasks right now):

Review of websites about the ZX80 and their contents - This could be done in parts, and you would have material for many magazines... but someone would have to contact the webmasters of each site and ask them for permission to use the pictures, etc.

http://freespace.virgin.net/christopher ... /index.htm
http://www.xs4all.nl/~fjkraan/comp/zx80/
http://www.chaotic.fsnet.co.uk/zx80/
http://computermuseum.50megs.com/brands/zx80.htm
http://home.micros.users.btopenworld.co ... tware.html
http://www.delhez.demon.nl/

Review of websites about the ZX81 and their contents - Too many websites to list. :) You would have LOTS of material with a topic like this. Simon from zx81stuff.co.uk, people from the german ZX81 users group, people from the Brazilian group, etc, etc.

And something I have in mind, but it will take time to get it done: The review of the rare Microace clone. Since I have one, I'm thinking of sending it to a friend so he can take pictures of the inside and outside and learn as much as possible about the inner workings of this computer.

Just wanted to know if anybody is willing to send me articles for the next issue of the mag...?
For now I have actually maybe 5% of text.

It can be anything related with ZX81 and anything You would like to share with other guys, fans of ZX81/Timex1000/1500.

My mail is without changes:

Again, I'm not good at writing, but there are several things to talk about. :)

Andre's new game:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys ... 9c1e?hl=en#

Everything about Timex's RS232 interface (for the TS1000 and ZX81)
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=30&start=0

LittleJohn's expansion board - A very professional work with a lot of potential, but that never received the attention it deserved. Your magazine could change that and maybe help him sell (remember he's not having any profit) the boards he made for the ZX81 community. I already reserved mine but besides that no one bought one from him, and the only feedback he got was a negative comment of very bad taste. Not the best way to treat someone who came forward and offered to build new ZX81 hardware... The section could have his contact info (if it's ok with him).

Did the previous magazine mention all the text adventures that were converted for the ZX81?

The ZX81 in movies! It's a new topic that started here:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=172
http://www.starringthecomputer.com/computer.php?c=44

A section about ZX81 software/hardware preservation, showing what was found and preserved this year and mentioning Simon's hard work (from the zx81stuff.co.uk site). This section could have a windows with some text encouraging people to preserve MIA titles and showing them where to go for instructions (or maybe a separate section dedicated entirely to the preservation effort (how to create .P files from cassettes, what to do if you have rare hardware, etc.))

Will see.
Although I can't write about hardware, it's black magic for me.
Authors would have to "advertise" themselves in short texts (I don't know if there is any point to copy/paste identical texts from the forum).

OK, meanwhile - as I announced on ZX81 Party in Germany, seems like the idea of "Monochrome issue 2" is ON.

I stopped it before because of a wrong comprehension of all of this. I expected people to write articles and it was a mistake because people are mostly busy with their real life - still not too busy to read the mag.
Which is understandable.

For a while I was considering a resurrection of the magazine, with returning to the original rule: I write everything (even if it's something stupid :) ) - and if anybody sends any text - then it's even better.
And seems like that's exactly what I would do, I suspect.

So - for the starters -

- If You have any text, then You can send me to: yerzmyey AT interia.pl
- If You want to get the mag, You should "refresh" Your home-address data (something might have changed).
It goes especially to: Gus, A. Boisvert (hmm, can't find the nickname), LittleJohn, SirMorris, Mark Wills, Zschopower,
zx81jens, Burnttoy, Andre*** and RWAP (e'mail is above).
- If You want to be a new reader, then send me Your exact home-address, real name and Your nickname.

The mag would be free of charge, so we will see what I can do. And for how long. ;)
Hmmmmm.
