What's this then?
Re: What's this then?
it's a collection of 0's and 1's cunningly assembled to look like an image of a PCB layout !
Maybe one that plugs into the Z80 Socket, and includes some Decoding in a Gal for the mystery chip....
Oh no that's too bizzare i was right the first time

what's that Smell.... smells like fresh flux and solder fumes...
Re: What's this then?
Ha ha haady ha Andy
Yes i't's a turbo-ay board. It's a _second_ piggy-back board for an ay adapter It plugs into the AY socket...
If I can actually get one etched then I might get to try it out I'm having chemical issues at the moment
One chip will respond to $cf/$0f and the other to $df/$1f.
I'm _hoping_ that the output will work, electrically speaking. <shrugs>
/me will just suck it and see

Re: What's this then?
Well, the only thing I can help in, as usual are examples of soft/files.
Here is what I prepared for Andy.
http://yerzmyey.republika.pl/Turbo_Sound.zip
With a description in my scandalous English:
***********************************************
Folders inside:
01-TS_File_Final_Ready_to_use:
This one is the format I use. I write in ZX48 SoundTracker but to mix both halfs of song, I must use VortexTracker II - and this file is its "outcome" format.
Seems perfect 'though - 2 songs in one file. Nifty.
02-Often_they_use_TWO_regular_files_and_mix_later_ in_a_player:
The most popular, I'm afraid. They use two *.$m files which - I suspect - are PT3 files on PC. And all the further mixing is being done by a player.
03-Some_of_file_seem_packed:
Sometimes I find those ones. All-in-one-file but suspiciously small. Also, when I turn-on Real COmmander on Spectrum (equivalent of NortonCommander from PC) and examine the files, the Commander screams for UnHrust2 v.1.1 which would mean that the file is actually packed (UnHrust is one of ZX depackers).
***********************************************
I could also provide MP3 recordings. For some comparison.
Good luck!

Re: What's this then?
I like the color of the board.
Re: What's this then?
Well I have managed to get a few minutes with a soldering iron.
All I can say is that - 3 channel sound works very well
All I need is a six channel player...
