Thanks a lot, it was very interesting. You guys really have incredible new hardware-solution for ZX81!!!

Aaaaaaaaah. Yes. I know what You mean.

> For tape users we need to have a plan... the program must load in one go. There are various schemes available for making programs load quickly - and I'm sure these could be adapted to load data to arbitrary memory blocks. Some kind of compiler would be needed on a PC, I'm sure.

Aha. That's what I thought.
That's why we have those tones of PC tape-utilities on Spectrum.
I see.

I get Your point, I just had a hard time to believe I was the last tape/mp3 user in the world. Hm. I'm almost sure Factor6 uses tape-only too. I'd be interested in some poll/questionnaire on both forums although I'm not sure this forum has poll in its engine.

Well, if You guyz are right, that's even better to me. No need of tricky converting and releasing soft in two or three version (like on ZX Spectrum, where we have at least 2: tape and betadisk versions).

We had in mind rather something like "to help new users to accommodate". Most of new users on Spectrum ask: "What? Now I have to buy one more device?!" ;) ;) ;) So for starters we have for them tape programs. Then we suggest they should buy divIDE, because it's the Western standard we use (they have Betadisk and its SD mutations on the East from PL).

Well, anyway I'm grateful for all the informations from You mates, and at least I got some new knowledge. :)
