Congratulations. A nice Christmas present for yourself!
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Thanks, Paul,
I am very pleased it does something. My DkTronics keyboard has some faulty keys on it I will have to see if I can repair/replace them.

Hi everybody, and Merry Christmas.

I do like this project, and I hope it comes to fruition.
I would also like a PCB if possible...

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your interest. You may as well wait a few weeks while I get it tested/fixed.

OK, I have a mini update. It is not great news.

My DKTronincs keyboard has four or five broken key switches so is a no go at them moment :(

I got some ZX81 keyboards from Ebay so I thought I would try one of those. I have found my first major mistake. The 5 pin keyboard connector (KB1) is the wrong way round. If used as is this mirrors the key rows so 1 is 5 and 5 is 1. Doh!

I have desoldered it and put is in the other way round and managed to get it plugged in and yes of course it works.

Here is a very short video of it working on my dirty scruffy bench https://youtu.be/xuRKypUay-w

I will do more testing and start testing a lot of the extra features now.

Happy new year to one and all.

Well that was quicker than I expected but the Wespi connector seems to do things!

I am starting to look at getting the sound working. I have a "organ" program typed in from the zonx81 manual.

Hi,

Is a Bluetooth module can be used instead of the ESP32 on ZX-Wespi project ?

For input or output transferts:
Bluetooth-Audio-Transmitter-Module-Board-4-1-Stereo-Audio-GFSK-Transceiver-Wireless-Speaker-Headphones-KCX-BT
Bluetooth-Audio-Transmitter-Module-Board-4-1-Stereo-Audio-GFSK-Transceiver-Wireless-Speaker-Headphones-KCX-BT.jpg

Can we send the AY sound to the ESP32 to retrieve the sound ?
[EDIT 1: Yes, all channels are link to the MIC socket… but if the AY sound generator is freeze, the MIC signal from the ULA will be unable to be save.]

[EDIT 2]
