A Nebulus clone/adaptation???

Post by kokkiklhs »

Another BRILLIANT idea of mine, to share with you...

Well, how about something similar to the excellent Nebulus by Hewson?
It's one of the best ever classic games to play on any old platform, its gameplay is unique and addictive. I still enjoy it very much and it's as good and playable to see on a humble Speccy as on an Amiga.
Has anybody tried this so far? Would it be possible to fit on 16k (perhaps without the mid-stages with the submarine) with hi-res?
8-)

You can start to see if it works on the ZX81 with the Sponzy ROM (that supports some Spectrum programs).

Maybe you could use most of the codebase. There's not much color in the Spectrum version.

Who cares about color on the zeddy? ;)
It certainly won't work "out of the box" with SponZy, as it's a 48k game... well, and I'm not a coder, either... :(
But thanks for the suggestion, anyway!
