BASICODE for ZX81

Post by MOB-i-L »

In this manual for The Chip Shop BASICODE 2 there is mentioned that there is a system for reading BASICODE recordings and translating them to ZX81 BASIC automatically by separating statements with colons into many lines. You had to change the variable names yourself if they had two characters where ZX81 BASIC only allows one character names, but they had a search and replace system for that. I'm interested in testing this system, but haven't found the binaries.

There is more information about BASICODE here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BASICODE

It might be possible now to develop BASICODE-3C for ZX81.
