left player:
up = anykey in top 2 rows (left half only)
down anykey in bottom 2 rows (left half only)
right player same but the right half....

Still 228 bytes free.
To do:
horizontal move ball (vertical is ready)
collission with bat and effect
set score
speed mode (increase speed each 8 bat bounces)

It's a two player game with controls as mentioned earlier:
left bat
left 2 top rows = up
left 2 bottom rows = down
right bat
right 2 top rows = up
right 2 bottom rows = down
First to score 10 wins, each bat hit means increase of speed as reward.
Effect possible when hit top above, above, below, bottom below of bat.
(5 zones on the bat. Middle = no alteration in effect, top above =effect +2, above =effect +1, below =effect -1 bottom below = effect -2)
Release will be officially next weekend at Cambridge (although it is a ZX Spectrum celibration).
Video at Youtube probably later today!
