1k Fight against cancer : the demogames

Here are the demoversions of the games which were not reveilled yet.

Each game has limited gameplay, but will give you an idea of the game.

Blocky : 16K version , no score

3D random maze : no exit, only walk in maze
Othello : 2 player option only
Bowling : 1 throw only
Spy vs Spy : simplyfied intelligence
Memory : only 6 pairs, not all are shuffled
Police Patrol : 1 level only playable

2. zxp police patrol - corruption at split (haven't tried with j/s yet)
3. othdemo - works perfectly
4. spydemo - works but screen is offset by 1/4
5. policedemo - corruption at split

Sorry this isn't better news. I think you're going to need a real ZX81 to test on. I'm sure we can solve this little problem between us I would be happy to help but I only have one unmodified machine and this is needed.

Strange thing: everything runs on EO.
I will take a look on the code sofar.

Could you specify 4? What is 1/4 offset?

Games must eventually run on all machines, so keep testing!

As I have found many times to my horror - emulators (Even the mighty EO) are not perfect...

If you refer to the image of police here you'll see the vertical sync appears to happen halfway down the screen. In the case of (4) it happens 1/4 of the way down.

Most flaws are caused by the missing of a

defb 118

(well that's what I assume since all games with a flaw missed the first defb 118)
