New game in 1K Hires: Return to Mazeddy's Castle

Post by dr beep »

After finding the castle you got robbed on the exit and dropped back inside the castle.

Can you find your way out from this 3D maze?

After finding the exit start again on another place in the maze.

Controls :
Q = forward
O = left
P = right

S = start new game.

Especially for Siggi I have set more delay in keypress.

The game runs on a 1K ZX81 with a 1,5K Hires screen

Technical info:
The screen is defined in only 256 bytes. Each line has 8 bytes thus 32 lines in total
Each line is displayed 3 times
After displaying 32x3 lines the lines are drawn backwards and so creating a 192 x 64 pixel screen

An excellent achievement, although the narrow view makes me confused really, really fast. Keep up the good work.

As said in the comment in the video ; I am working on another 3D view.
This view will be deeper and wider (even a space in the middle) with less steep walls.

So far the mazegenerator (complete generator in 256 bytes with a maze generated sized 19x19 in 100 bytes ; total 356 bytes) isn't working properly.
Also a lot of the code in the generator is reused in displaying and moving so still enough room in 1K.
