When I implemented UDG graphics in ZX Galaxians a while back it was also my intention to incorporate some support for the ZONX81, but I ended up getting distracted by other things and that was forgotten.
But a few days ago I was revisiting the AY drivers used by Sirmorris in the "Bigg Oil" and "ZeDragon" games and decided it was time to rescue the Galaxians and put some "blow-ups" on them. The result I share below in two versions, one with standard graphics and the other with UDG graphics and Chroma81 support.
Enjoy!

Just so happens I've managed to get an original Zon x-81. A few dry solders sorted and re-seating of the speaker, along with new packing 'sponge' later and hey presto!!! Galaxians with sound!!! Now I just need a few more games to try which utilise it. Any suggestions welcome.....Please......!!!
And I have that on SD card too. There's probably quite a few I have on storage but can't seem to find a list of which uses the AY sound. Looks like I'm going to be busy for a few weeks trying. Oh the fun of the old Zx81!!!

"Bigg Oil" and "ZeDragon" both have sound and music although "Bigg Oil UDG version" and "ZeDragon" both need some kind of UDG support for real ZX81.
Yep, thanks for that. Got Bigg Oil and the other stuff from Revive so I'll check them out as I believe they all have music and some sound. Only got real machines, although one has internal 32k but no UDG hardware. It's the old (as in 1980s) software I'm trying to gather info for regarding sound.
You may be hard pressed for original 80's ZX81 stuff as by the time the Zonx came out the 81's time was over in favour of the Spectrum version of the unit, as far as most software houses were concerned I would have thought, and as the thing was such a pig to program I don't think many software people wasted anytime with it for such little return.
I will have a search around myself to see if I can discover anything.

I agree, joystick support would be great. On a longer time frame I really wish there was a WRX graphics version.
In the meantime, take a look at Nuclear Invaders, it has a WRX version, ZONX support and ZXpand joystick support:
