Berzerk for the ZX81

Post by Bukster »

I've uploaded a final version of ZX81 Berzerk. So it looks like it's the last game of 2018 rather than the first of 2019 to be published. The final version features eight mazes. I've added difficulty levels that mimic the way levels went up in the original game. Robots do not shoot at first, but things gets tougher as the levels increase. However, you can restrict the levels if the harder ones aren't to your liking or you want to show it to a kid.

I think the feel of the game is very much like the original. Sometimes you just can't get that last robot and you are a chicken for running away.

The game work on both chroma and standard hardware. I have made an MP3 for it, but I'm unable to upload it to my web page as it exceeds max file size. If anyone knows a good place to store MP3s please let me know.

Thanks,

Try this link for an MP3 file. This will run on both a standard 16k ZX81 or one with a Chroma interface.

It's a personal rule I have that everything I program must run on the original hardware.
