Good evening,

Might sound like a silly question, but I could not find an answer on Google or the forum: is there any PONG clone on ZX81? And if so, is there an "AI" you can play against?

Thanks. Bruno.

Note: i'm not talking about high-res, but a plain ZX81 game.

My guess is that it would be pretty s-l-o-w. Might still be interesting, though.

Sure there must be, but there’s absolutely no reason why it would be slow

If by Pong you mean tennis I have such a program which unfortunately I cannot accredit to any author.
It came with a job lot of Dutch software, the instructions are in the Dutch language, so if any of our Netherlands brothers recognise it I will happily give due credit.

LATE EDIT.

The author apparently is Frank Ohmmann and the game is dated July 1984 if there is any objection to my listing this then I will happily delete the file. It also includes AI with a choice of difficulty level.

By slow, I was referring to in comparison to the Atari 2600.

Why would hires not be a plain ZX81 game?

I coded PONG in hires in 1K, although without AI.

@Dr Beep, you're right, hi-res is plain ZX81. For what I'm intrested in for now, low-res is better, that's all i meant.

@Moggy , thanks a lot, i tried TENNIS, and it is a PONG clone with AI !!! And it is fast.
