Jetpac (Bukster) colour mod

Post by JohnsBargs »

I've been completely blown away by this port of Jetpac ever since discovering it - it plays JUST like the Speccy original - so I thought I'd have a go at giving it a more authentic deep-space colour scheme. The link contains the .COL file for Chroma.

Made a little tape inlay for it too.

Thanks for the feedback and effort. You did see that I've posted a version of JetPac that uses the Chroma interface on this forum? I see we've both used different colour schemes.

Yeah, I saw it, but I wanted to have a go at something a bit closer to the original colour-wise. I wish I could figure out how you did the thrust trail, though :)

The thrust trail was controlled by a routine I named Sparkles. The routine generated asterisks at the base of the rocket and scrolled down any existing sparkles. It was set to leave yellow paper colour behind it. So after a few sparkles have gone down, the whole trail is left yellow.
