I still have my collection of YC mags. I hope they haven't a> been eaten by mice or b> gone damp in my shed.. :)

I may well look this out and see if OCR can prove useful instead of a friend - of which I have none - :'(

There was another game similar to a spectrum one which featured platforms which had a moving gap. you had to avoid the gap on the plat form you were standing on whilst trying to leap up onto the next level. It was one of the 1st hires games I saw on an '81.

Another featured a submarine. I saw it in all it's hires goodness for a period of about 1 second before the machine crashed and I lost all my work.

Happy days!

"Survivor", yes.

Very difficult game (very fast). Actually I'm not really sure what should I do there.

"Survivor" looks fun - but what are you meant to do in it? And what are the keys?

"Yoogor" plays a little to slowly for me, but "Treasure Hunter" is a bit too fast!!

The same question goes from me. ;)

>And what are the keys?
O/P/SHIFT

>"Yoogor" plays a little to slowly for me
It's all in BASIC. (!!) :) Also it's close to logic/adventure game, so can be not very fast, heh.

>but "Treasure Hunter" is a bit too fast!!
I must admit it's hard but I wouldnt' say it's too fast (like the Survivor is) but I'm to slow for the game, haaaaaahahaha! ;)

Greetz.

Survivor is a very interesting and, I must say it, very hard to play game :)

I do discover it here thanks to the post and the I made a little and found that the game was published in the great Your Computer Mag. on May 1985

In order to complete each level you must first obtain the KEY (an inverted asterisk) then you will notice the scrolling message telling you THAT WAS ONLY THE KEY, so you must go to the exit (again an inverted asterisk) :)

Note that you have a limited amount of Time.

The original game comes with 10 levels and I finished only the first :)

You can change the game speed (to high on the default value), the starting level and chose the infinite lives option too. All this using special POKEs, I include in the attachment a version that includes a little menu that let you select your options

And here is a video showing the first level solution 8-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rqpnq3X08HY

I hope you enjoy it
Gus

P.D. On Jun 1985, Darren Spriddell published a levels editor, I will to type it in so we can design some new and maybe more easy levels :) stay tuned
