New ZX81 Game: Against The Elements

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the launch of ZX81, I've released a new game which runs on a standard 16K machine. It uses pseudo high resolution graphic techniques to achieve an isometric style similar to that pioneered by Ultimate in their range of iconic games for the ZX Spectrum.

The game can also be played in colour using the Chroma 81 SCART interface or with any of the growing range of emulators that support the interface.

Full details about the game can be found at www.fruitcake.plus.com.

I hope you enjoy the game!

Having played it a bit now, I can only say: WOW!
The graphics looks very nice, and the movement is good. You'd never think this is a ZX81, or even pseudo-hires. More like a monochrome Spectrum-game. Inspiring.

I should celibrate it by finishing game 24 in 1K hires. On hold since november, although just a few things to do to finish it.

Actually I like the movement better than on Spectrum. This one is much more precise, which is especially important in isometric games, where You can't see well the game-hero's position.
