Just a question though, this game does flicker with keyboard input. What would cause this on a ZX81? Was something done to make this run on a ZX80?

I cannot believe I've spent most of this easter weekend playing this game! I can remember being aound 5 or 6yrs old and my elder brother's playing this and grabbing hold of each other as the scores came in haha. This weekend I introduced my children to the game who were not too impressed with a 32-33yr old text only game at first, until they noticed the little printer attached and the scores came rolling out. I'm not a massive football fan, I enjoy to watch the odd game here and there but this is just a great game for anyone to play.
Just a question though, this game does flicker with keyboard input. What would cause this on a ZX81? Was something done to make this run on a ZX80?

No the ZX80 had it's own version of the game (currently for sale on ebay oddly enough)
It flickers on the ZX81 because it's running in fast mode, running 15k of basic in slow mode would bring the game to a standstill!!
