2014 ZX81 Game Compilation SD Card

Post by RWAP »

Just a thought - how about an SD card full of the latest ZX81 games, with profits going to charity ?

a) Which authors would agree to this
b) Could someone design a nice case to hold the SD card?
c) How much would we sell it for?

Just a comment from Bobs...

Depending on when it was put together I might have some new games available which could be used as exclusives (for a while).

For what it's worth, you may use my two and a bit games (not that they're very good). I'll ask Dani (the Spanish developer who's work I've hacked and refactored slightly recently) if he doesn't mind his 1K BASIC games being thrown on there.

Regards,

Shaun.

Depending on cost, I would strongly consider buying it.

I love it! Sign me up. Other utilities/demos etc. would be nice too.

Hi,
I'm not agree.
A SD image FREELLY hosted on a web page.
I can't support a tradding stuff on any hardwares with any recent Zx81 freeware games/utils.
The cost is the SD prize (100 units) empty.
Let us copy the SD image on it.
Note: Add a Authors & web sites list on it, in ZX81 format.

I would but nobody would play my crap "Ferengi" game, hahaha.
Although those cards are huge and ZX81 games are tiny, so I'm not sure how do You intend to fill it, heh.

All of the games are already available on this forum and other ZX81 pages...

Perhaps you did not understand that the SD card would not be sold for any profit - the price would cover the cost of the SD card plus an amount (£2 maybe) which would be handed over to charity.l

If you don't want your software then that is a pity. As it stands there does not seem to be enough interest anyway.

If someone wants to create a new ZX81 webpage which includes all the new software then that would be great - it could be added to this website if people wanted - so long as it does not include the original ZX81 software which is still subject to copyright...
