My game "Miner Man" works with the joystick.

SirMorris, would You care to take a look why his MinerMan doesn't actually work with the ZXpand joystick?
Only if You have some time of course.

Supposedly he means this file http://www.bobs-stuff.co.uk/extras/minerman.zip as there's no other with this name.
I tried everything and the hero doesn't move, like he's dead.

I'll take a look at the code (I added the joystick code, not SirMorris).

I haven't changed it since SM tested and OK'd it, so it should be working - but perhaps I didn't upload the correct version, or under a different name.

I was wondering if there would be possible to add joystick support into "Manic Miner" game.
I found only German version for now

I'm sorry my friend, still doesn't work.
I tested especially also some other games and all work but this one.
Maybe I do something wrong? I tried to press fire, then after start of the game I was trying to move around - nothing.
I was even trying to redefine keys with the joystick (although SirMorris mentioned to me in Germany that it doesn't work this way here, hehe), but nothing.
Maybe there was any secret turning-on the joystick mode, heh? I could miss something.

Anybody else have the same problem maybe?

The ZXpand joystick should just work - Sir Morris tested it - it does a short detection routine when the game starts to detect that the interface exists, and then you should just be able to use it - no hidden option or need to redefine the keys.

I'll have a check of the code, and see what's what, and put a version up for download over the weekend.

OK then. Meanwhile seems like we have to assume my hardware is fu.cked-up.
If it work on other ZXpands, then that's the only reasonable explanation.
