Since the character is inverted you could invert the UDG too and it will show the inverted inverted UDG, the right character.

At request I decided to release the sources of LODERUNNER.
In the ZIP-file are 6 files:
2x sources for levels 1-75 and 76-150
2x textfile with compressed leveldata
2x CALC/EXCEL with levels in ASCII and a macro to create the compressed leveldata
The compression can have 18 repeating tokens on the screen in just 1 byte.
First bit is a possible repeater, then 3 bits make the token. Second nibble is the repeater.
