Hi to all,
I'm typing the listings of the ZONX81 manual, I doing it just for my enjoyment and I like to share it with all of you.
Here are the first sample, just a lot of random noise, but how much happy I will be earing this noise on 1994...
BTW: I do use the EIGHTYONE 1.0 and the ZONX81 emulation works really fine. (I running EIGHTYONE under WINE on a GNU/Linux machine)

Gus

I can't upload files with the P extension... so if anyone want the files just let me know and I send you a mail

Can I ask the people for whom AY emulation doesn't work, which OS you're using along with which version of EO?

Thanks,
Mike

hi mike!

the ZON-X emulation does not work on my setup - i´m running EO 1.0 under WINDOWS XP HOME on an IBM THINKPAD R30 (pentium3/512MB-ram) ...

but i have the original ZON-X on my ZX81 - so i can run programs ;-)

greetings
jens

Would you like mayonnaise on that, sir?

Seriously,
Regard debugger window, We WANT the No$cash debugger...
This is what inspired me. no$ is a good emu, but it feels 'unfinished'
And the direct access of VB81 ... in a directory.
Could you explain this a little more please?
The Xtender grafic screen ...
Showing the character set?
An inboard compiler , alwaws No$Cash...
Hmm this is a little out of my league for the moment ;)

HI,

Well the no$chash debugger is good, but has his problems too, I agree with sirmorris this is unfinished...

In a new debugger It will be great to have separate DUMP Memory windows, windows that one can set position and contents (memory area) so the debugger can refresh those windows on BREAKPOINTS and on the STEP by STEP operation, ideally the feature of set "memory casting" I mean bit, bytes, word, string, BCD, etc :) yeas I now it a lot of features but I tell it here just to guide the development.

A View Symbols facilitie will be great too, I using PASMO assembler right now but I think that the symbols file format is really easy to "parse" in any assembler, so the debugger can work with PASMO or TASM or with any assembler...

Im offering my help too
Gus

Hi Xav...
And the direct access of VB81 ... in a directory.
I *could* do this... but VB81 only deals with 1 ROM. Would VB81 still allow this if you replaced ZX81.ROM with ZX80.ROM, or TREE4TH.ROM, or AZMITH.ROM etc. ? Writing code to intercept load/save for every ROM included in EO is a huge effort which I'm not sure is really worth it.
The Xtender grafic screen ...
Xtender was good 10 years ago, but today what does it offer that EO doesn't? (Except performance on low end PCs)
... a full screen when i press "escape"
Aha! A bug... What OS are you using? And won't it do fullscreen in either GDI or DirectDraw mode? Which graphics card does your PC have?

Thanks,
Mike

Yo, Mike.

Have You been thinking maybe about the problem with AY emulation (no sound) on Win XP system?
